Gale Virtual Reference Library provides access to 314 reference sets, which equates to over 1500 titles in most educational subjects available online in full-text. The interface is similar to that of a database and can be searched in a similar manner. There is a citation generator, email/print/save options, and a translation feature.
To access these eBooks, go to http://access.gale.com//belsebooks/ Click Trial Gale Virtual Reference Library on left side of page under High Schools. Enter your search terms or click Continue to narrow by topic. Note: Currently accessible on-site only in DMAE campus buildings.
Downloadable Audiobooks
In partnership with Highlands Regional Library Cooperative and Bergen County Cooperative Library System, DMAE students have full access to free downloadable audiobooks. You must first visit www.listennjnw.org and click Login. Select Bergen County Cooperative Library System as your home library and enter your 14-digit library card number in the Library card number field.
Download OverDrive Software
In order to borrow, download and listen to OverDrive's digital audiobooks, you must download and install the OverDrive Media Console. Use of MP3 Players
Once the audiobook has been downloaded to your computer, it can be converted to your MP3 player in WMA format. Therefore, you cannot use IPODS or MACS. Here is a link to compatible devices: Compatible Devices
Finding Titles
There are several ways of searching the BCCLS catalog to find downloadable audiobooks from OverDrive. If you would like to see the entire collection, type Downloadable OverDrive into the search box. This search will show all the downloadable titles available in BCCLS. If you wish to search for a particular title, add the author name or book title to Downloadable OverDrive.
