HYGIENE
As your child starts going through puberty and are active during recess and physical education, it is important to establish good hygiene routines. We encourage these good hygiene strategies at school and encourage you to do the same at home.
The following are examples of good DAILY hygiene practices:
Shower or bathe every day.
Wash hands ALWAYS after using the restroom and before and after eating. Wash hands after playing outdoors and touching animals.
Wash hair and trim nails as needed.
Use a deodorant/antiperspirant after bathing/showering. Keep one in your backpack or locker with wipes to use after physical education class and/or recess.
Brush your teeth twice a day and, preferably, floss daily.
Wear clean/unsoiled underwear, socks, and clothes every day.
Girls should keep an extra set of clothes and extra feminine supplies in their book bags or lockers.
Maintain your general health through exercise, plenty of rest and good nutrition.
