HIB POLICY

Our District has put a strict Anti-Bullying Policy in place that includes procedures for reporting harassment,  intimidation, and bullying.

If a student experiences harassment, intimidation or bullying by another student, the incident can be reported to his/her school Anti-Bullying Specialist.

To learn about our policy, how any such behavior is investigated, and who the Anti-Bullying Specialist is in each school, please follow this link to the HIB section of our web site.

From the Superintendent

The budget vote and Board of Education election took place on April 16.

I want to thank the community for its overwhelming support of the 2013-2014 school budget, which included significant investments in curriculum improvements and staff training.

As a result of the Board election, we will be welcoming three new members to the Board of Education at its reorganization meeting on April 25:  Mr. Junius "Jeff" Carter, III, Ms. Carol Feinstein, and Mr. Devry B. Pazant.  Mr. Stephen Brown and Mr. Glenn Garrison, both long-standing Board members, contributed much to the progress of the District and their input will be missed, as will that of Mr. Enrique Diaz, who opted not to run for re-election.

I hope you will attend the Board meeting on the 25th and those in the coming months as we continue to focus on the ongoing improvement of our schools.  Your ideas and involvement are very important.

Dr. Donald K. Carlisle
