Over the years, I have come to appreciate the caring and commitment to helping others that is demonstrated by our students, our staff and our families. Just in the past few weeks alone, our students have raised money for charity, collected food for local families, and gathered flip flops to send to the citizens of the Philippines who lost everything in the recent typhoon. This month, students will entertain community members at Winter Concerts, sing carols at a Jets game, and raise money to help others. Most of these efforts are supported by involved parents and guardians who spend countless hours volunteering in our schools and participating in our PTO's.
So during this holiday season, I would like to extend my appreciation to everyone in our Englewood community and wish each of you peace and joy.
