The Englewood Public School District extends a heartfelt thank you to Dr. Jason Baynes for an inspiring and impactful visit as part of our My Brother’s Keeper (MBK) Speakers’ Series on Thursday, January 22, 2026.

Dr. Baynes engaged our students in a powerful conversation centered on leadership, perseverance, goal setting, and the importance of education, wellness, and service. Drawing from his experiences as a board-certified orthopedic surgeon, sports medicine specialist, and team physician for Englewood Public Schools, he shared a message that resonated deeply with our students—one rooted in resilience, purpose, and believing in oneself.

Throughout the session, students were attentive, reflective, and eager to ask thoughtful questions. Dr. Baynes’ authentic approach and willingness to connect his personal journey to real-world challenges helped students see what is possible when dedication, discipline, and community support come together.

We are grateful to Dr. Baynes for taking the time to pour into our students and for serving as a meaningful role model within the Englewood community. Experiences like this reinforce the mission of My Brother’s Keeper and our district’s commitment to empowering students with voices, vision, and opportunities for success.

Thank you to our staff, administrators, and MBK partners for helping make this session such a success. We look forward to continuing this important work and welcoming future speakers who inspire, uplift, and motivate our students to lead with purpose.
