The Englewood Public School District is proud to announce that Dr. Leroy McCloud Elementary School has been named a 2026 Blue Ribbon Beacon School by the Blue Ribbon Schools of Excellence (BRSE).
This national recognition highlights schools that demonstrate excellence across key indicators of high-performing learning environments. Dr. Leroy McCloud Elementary School met the criteria across nine performance areas, including student support, school culture, curriculum, teaching and learning, technology integration, leadership, and family partnerships.
As part of the rigorous validation process, the school participated in stakeholder surveys, interviews, and a comprehensive school visit. This recognition reflects the strong collaboration among school leadership, educators, students, and families.
We proudly recognize Principal Joe Armental, Interim Assistant Principal Martine Marcellus, and the entire McCloud school community for their dedication to student success and continuous improvement.
