Englewood Public Schools is proud to share its 2025–2026 Academic Growth Snapshot, highlighting significant student achievement and growth from Pre-K through high school. The results reflect the district's continued commitment to providing high-quality instruction, targeted interventions, and meaningful learning experiences for every student.

Building Strong Foundations

Our youngest learners made tremendous progress in early literacy and mathematics, with:

  • 84% of Pre-K 4 students meeting or exceeding Early Literacy standards.

  • 80% of Pre-K 3 students meeting or exceeding Math Foundations standards.

  • Zero Pre-K 4 students performing significantly below level in Math Foundations.

These early successes are helping prepare students for a strong transition into kindergarten.

Districtwide Growth in K–8

Students in every K–8 grade level demonstrated measurable growth in both Reading and Mathematics.

Highlights include:

  • +24 percentage point average increase in Reading proficiency.

  • +28 percentage point average increase in Mathematics proficiency.

  • Growth was achieved in all nine grade levels for both Reading and Mathematics.

  • The largest gains reached +55 percentage points in Reading and +60 percentage points in Mathematics.

Continued Progress at the High School

High school students also demonstrated encouraging academic gains across core subjects.

Notable accomplishments include:

  • English I proficiency increased by 18 percentage points.

  • The number of students performing two or more years below grade level decreased by 18 percentage points.

  • Strong instructional performance was evident across English and Mathematics courses.

Looking Ahead

These results represent more than numbers—they reflect the dedication of our students, educators, families, and staff working together to ensure every learner succeeds.

As we prepare for the 2026–2027 school year, Englewood Public Schools will continue strengthening literacy and mathematics instruction while expanding targeted supports to help every student reach their full potential.
