As the school year moves forward, we wanted to take a moment to look back and recognize the incredible community that surrounded our Grieco Elementary School students on their very first day.
Mayor Michael Wildes, city leaders, first responders, district staff, families, and community members came together to form a “Canyon of Praise”—welcoming our students with cheers, high-fives, smiles, and encouragement as they began a new year of learning and growth.
This moment deserves to be highlighted because it represents what makes Englewood so special: our students are surrounded by an entire community that believes in them, celebrates them, and wants to see them succeed.
Thank you to everyone who showed up and helped our students begin the year feeling supported, valued, and loved. This is community in action. 💙
