We are thrilled to announce that the Englewood Board of Education has appointed Mr. Lamarr Thomas as Superintendent of Schools, effective November 1, 2026, through June 30, 2030!
A homegrown leader and proud member of the Englewood community, Mr. Thomas brings a personal connection to the district he serves. With more than 20 years of service to Englewood students, his roots in our community shape his understanding of our schools, his relationships with families, and his commitment to seeing our students succeed.
Since becoming Acting Superintendent in July, Mr. Thomas has provided stability and led with integrity, care, and dedication. His appointment is a special moment for Englewood—a celebration of a leader whose commitment to our community is both professional and personal.
As we look ahead, we are excited to unite around his vision and our district’s core values, bringing them to life through meaningful connections, collaboration, and a shared commitment to every student’s success.
